If Spuds manage to play 100% better than they did last night against Everton, we'll win 5-0 - They're genuinely shit.

Mourinho will probably park the bus. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he leaves Kane or Son out of the starting eleven. They'd be delighted with a 0-0, the underachieving wankers.

Open them up early and they'll fall apart.
Pep may go with false full backs pushing Cancelo and Zinchenko into midfield alongside Rodders (if not injured) or Dinho.

Mourinho will have an instruction to not cross halfway under threat of a fine.

Playing a strong team last night in an end to end game with extra time, and losing... all bodes well for a City win. Son and Kane usually do damage against us. But it will be hard to pick themselves off the floor from that one and I think we'll beat them comfortably.

A repeat of the 5-1 win at WHL in 2010 when Nasri made his debut and Dzeko scored 4 would be great. We were bouncing in the away corner at the end singing:
1-2 1-2-3 1-2-3-4 ..... 5-1

Happy days Blues

Didn't the players go over to commune with you? Or am I confusing that with the epic F.A. Cup comeback in 2004?
(Incidentally, it wasn't 2010…)

Why are you selecting Laporte over Zinchenko?

When will people appreciate that Zin offers this team exactly what Pep needs from it?

His linking into midfield is vital. We don't need an orthodox left back, same as Cancelo is not a right back.

Apart from that, the team is spot on.

I would like to again see Foden go wide right, Sterling on the left and Jesus down the middle.

height mate is the only reason? Spurs will imo lump the ball in at every occasion possible and with the standard of refereeing at the minute every soft challenge from us is given as a foul!

We will have enough height mate, no team has the ball long enough against us to warrant the inclusion of Laporte, who seemingly reserves his very worst performances for Spurs.

Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Rodri, more than enough in there at set pieces.

While we are still in domestic cups then Mendy starts unless we draw Chelsea or Liecester other than that he will play

Cant be trusted to work back, tackle his passing is 60-40 when he manages to get it under controll & his crossing 7-10 always end up in the opposite stand

Laporte imo slows it down & doesnt give us that slip inside position where we do see Cancelo & Zinchenko, both also get up down so much quicker & the passing is neater

Same team as Liverpool for the next couple of weeks with Dino coming in for Everton

Laporte possibly Champs League

according to the bookies City are just as likely to drop point against Spurs (27%) as Utd (26%) are to WBA

Hopefully Dias is over his fever for this one. Spurs have become our bogey team of late abs Kane and Son are playing well, Son especially has a great record against us. Normally we can cope with injury but with their forwards we need to be defensively perfect.

Sadly Laporte really seems to be a shadow of his former self post his knee injury, considering how good he was in 18/19. Hopefully he finds his form soon.

In the game at Spurs stadium Laporte was drawn to Kane when he dropped deep, for their first goal, leaving space for Son to exploit and score. It is why Laporte was left out for the next few games. I don't know what Peps plan will be but I know he will have one.

Dias still not back? Got a bad feeling he’ll not quite make the Spurs game, so we’ll see how Laporte deals with Spurs this time. It was the 2-0 defeat to Spurs that saw Laporte drop out of the team. At least if he plays he has a big point to prove.

Time we gave this bunch a real doing. CL, still cant forgive or forget. I hope we reach the heights following last Sunday and win by a truck load. Would love to see a Gabby hat trick. I'm not greedy, six and a clean sheet would do nicely.

What are everyone’s thoughts on false 9 v no false 9 for this one? It’s a big game, so it’s tempting to think we might play a false 9 again. But Jesus had started scoring pretty regularly of late. Will be interesting.
