Alti fan gets the gig again.

Must have impressed with talking to Spurs players rather than booking them in the last fixture.

Should be a great atmosphere regardless.

Always a horrible fixture, they get under my skin with their shithouse players and tactics.
Need to be at our best, which shouldn't be an issue.

Judging by the pre match stats in the opening post we have beaten them once in our last 5 meetings in the league and are still yet to win or draw at their new ground.

We have had unbelievable amounts of bad luck against them in recent years. The cup final last year was a nice win however and went some way to appeasing that champions league defeat.

That’s where stats (especially short-term ones) can lead you astray, imo. It so happens that I was at the two matches where we somehow contrived to draw 2-2 and lose 2-0. Based on domination and possession - we battered them, in fact - reasonable results would have been 4-2 and 3-0, to us in both cases. Apart from a period of the home match in the 2011-12 season, and maybe the home match of the 2015-16 one, I genuinely can’t think of a single game where we’ve been dominated by them. Of course, you’ve got to put the ball in the back of the net, that’s all the records show. Signs are that we’ve become rather good at that too, recently.
I trust that we can agree on one thing: we are an immeasurably better team. But, as someone said, “Ees football…”

Guess that’s my point really mate, we have absolutely battered them but recently more times than not somehow we either lose or draw against these (particularly away from home). That’s what I meant when I said at times I feel we are cursed against spurs. Fingers crossed we can beat them Saturday.
