If we miss out on 4th place the jury on bluemoon seems to suggest that it will be either Hughes's fault or Mancini's.

The standard line is that we have the players but not the manager.

However if Spurs do beat us it might just be they have a better starting eleven.

I think the two defences are pretty similar although they definitely have the edge in the fullback postions. And Ledley King when he plays is top quality.

We play a different system than them as Harry normally has two strikers and 4 across the middle.

So while I would say Tevez and Adebayor are better than Defoe and Pavluchenko, Spurs have a midfield that offers far more. Especially with Modric being creative.

We are better on the bench.

So for me Spurs are better at the back and in midfield. We are better up front.

Taking this into account I'm not sure all the blame can be laid at the door of our two managers this year.

Lets hope that Spurs will wilt under the pressure of being favourites now.

They have had a bit of luck at the right time....

Playing against ten men against Chelsea with Drogba carrying an injury as well

And against Arsenal they got the goals at the right time

But in Bale they have the for player in the Premiership. Lennon and Defoe can also be devastating. Dawson is a better player than I thought as well. Fair play to them.

But it's not over yet. We are a good team as well. Don't think there's much that separates Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd, Spurs and City at the moment. Over the whole season the League Table reflects the truth, but City have improved from the team that started the season.

Spurs have more creativity in midfield and on the wings, but we have a much better depth to our squad

Gomes

Corluka King Dawson Ekotto(sp?)

Lennon Huddlestone Modric Bale

Defoe Pav

---

Given

Richards/Onuoha Toure Lescott Bridge

Johnson DeJong Barry Bellamy

Adebayor Tevez

I'd take Gomes.

I'd take Richards or Onuoha, plus Lescott and Bridge. I'd put King in for Toure if fit.

I'd take Barry and Bellamy. I'd include Bale and Modric from them.

I'd take Ade and Tevez.

This season was all about Gelling players together, and with all the injuries and suspensions, we haven't been able to do that completely yet. Next season our players should be ready to play as a team, given another summer to work with their manager.

Dead right Marvin. Many said at the time that we will come to rue the dropped points at home against sides that 9 times out of ten we would have battered. But Spurs have lost and drawn similar matches.

Little to choose, but it does make the trek to CoMS interesting when we know we have to beat decent sides to achieve a specific goal. Many is the season where post-Christmas MCFC just played out the fixtures or hovered over the trapdoor.

Good times.

The reason Spurs are doing well is all down to man management. I hate to say it Harry knows the way to handle his squad. At the moment Bobby doesnt. I wonder if Harry would of let Robhino move on loan I doubt it very much. He knows how to play a system to get the best out of the flair players which will win the games. Bobby on the other hand is more set in his ways.

Yes Spurs have had the rub of the green in games and have managed to hold onto there leads in the last 2 games it shows that the players want it. The real reason we wont get fourth is because we dont want it as much as they do. Its still in our hands as Franny Lee said yesterday beat Spurs at home and its ours we have to be up for the game and dont give tham as much ball as we did yesterday.

I just think that no matter what happens in the other games we will struggle to beat Spurs at our place. This isn't because we've got a poor record against Spurs, we've got a poor record against most established premier league teams because this is the first time we've had a squad capable of challenging!

The reason I think we will struggle is because Redknapp has that Spurs side extremely well organised. Pound for pound I don't see much difference in the quality of their team and ours. However, in terms of organisation they are well ahead of us. In particular against Arsenal, Spurs forced them to delay and knock the ball around instead of being able to play incisive through balls.

We've struggled this season when good teams like Everton and Spurs have got men behind the ball and made us try and break them down. Spurs can do that and then have enough attacking threats to cause problems and score goals themselves. We'll have home advantage against Spurs and hopefully we'll make that count, but if they're as solid as they have been in recent weeks we could struggle to get a win and anything less than that will in all likeliness cost us fourth spot.
