He’s an immature bellend that I don’t like much about, but Lingard cares for his siblings and sick mother. I’d rank him as fairly decent for that unless he’s ran down a few children that I’ve not read about.

Because he’s of Chinese ethnicity; because that is where the coronavirus originated; and because the overwhelming majority of those to have caught the virus thus far are Chinese.

You do realise that Alli choosing someone for their ethnicity / nationality in order to make a joke about current affairs doesn’t in and of itself constitute racism? No statement is being made as to the physical, mental, linguistic or behavioural characteristics of Chinese people. They were not the butt of the joke.

Should be expecting at least the same level of punishment Bernardo got. I personally don’t think it’s terribly offensive but a precedent has been set now after Bernardo’s punishment.
I don’t see how they can justify not giving him the same punishment as a bare minimum

Aye my Vietnamese friend is loving all these fantastic and original satirists that have suddenly emerged to keep making jokes and comments about how he has the coronavirus, all no doubt aimed as a stinging barb mocking the way the media are overreacting to the outbreak, he definitely doesn't think it's racist at all
