Spurs thread 2020/21

He hasn’t had an abnormal number of injuries.

He missed a large chunk of last season because of a dislocated elbow but that was an unfortunate one off - not evidence of chronic injury problems. He was in fantastic form after his return.
Apart from dropping bollocks playing teams in red on a regular basis. He must have been hungover rather than shitfaced on those days.

The notion of it is ridiculous. He was finished at City because he didnt know how to play the football the club wants. Why on earth would the club want him back as a coach to pass on those non abilities to the future players. Head wobblying sillyness to suggest it

Can it be that hard as an ex-goalkeeper to do goalkeeping drills?

gonna be neck-and-neck on the domestic honours front

joe hart - 2 league titles, 1 fa cup, 2 league cups
ben davies - 1 league cup
everyone else - fuck all

I'm pretty surprised Joe would rather be third choice at Spurs than make a move to MLS or something like that. Wish him well.
I reckon Gazzaniga will be sold, Levy will shift him to get some money in. Hart on a free = cash in the bank.

It's a good move for him tbh. If you're gonna be a backup keeper, then you might as well do it in London for a decent club. And let's be honest, he's definitely more of a Mourinho style keeper than a Pep one, so there's a chance that this could reignite his career. It's not as if Lloris doesn't have the odd clanger in his locker.

Don't like Spurs but good luck Joe, hope you get back to your best and become number 1 there.

Good move for him

More than good. Unhoped for, I would have said, given the vertiginous decline in his form over the last three seasons or so.
I'll always wish Joe well, for the memories (especially of 2011-12, where he was a superb shot stopper, and the first link in the spine that included Vinnie, Merlin, and Sergio; I don't know what went on in the changing room in subsequent seasons, and I don't much care, honestly) but I'm not sure that I remember seeing a keeper decline so quickly and steeply. If he ever gets games over Lloris, I'm pretty sure that Lloris will feel highly aggrieved. And Lloris is no great shakes himself, these days.

Then he should be applauded for backing himself to stay here and try and get the shirt off llores, willy got the nod over kepa
recently so it happens

I doubt he really thinks he will be favoured over Lloris

Good move for him, shame about his career decline. Pep didn't really help his cause, completely burst his bubble but that is football and business I suppose but I think we would have all agreed that as soon we saw Bravo play we would have had Joe back in an instant. Fortunately, Pep redeemed himself with Eddie.

You can hardly blame Pep for Jo's refusal to even try to adapt his game to his new manager's philosophy.

Hart made his own bed, now he has to lie in it.

Just watched his training video, I’m really happy for the guy. I don’t see why he can’t push for that number one spot, Lloris has a gaff in him.

He was told the day pep arrived he was out, when exactly did he get the chance to adapt his game,he was out full stop
