Spurs Thread - 2021/22

Conte is a very good coach. He turned a mediocre Inter side into champions, turned Ashley young into a very good wing back. Made a very lethal striker partnership turning Lukaku into a lethal striker completely different to his united spell.

Spurs will be a lot stronger under him. He likes to play a big striker and someone to run off that striker. Kane isn’t tall or strong so I don’t see him fitting could see Conte asking to sell him. Son will be a lot more dangerous in his system. Could see them go for Vlahovic. Spurs will be a tough game now. Only thing is Conte has fallen out with every club board he’s been at.

It’s their director of Football. Paratici very good friends with Conte he knows how Conte operates and what Conte wants. Then two were one of the reason I think at Juve that Juve became so dominant. Paratici would find young talent bring them to Conte for his system.

It was pretty mutual. He didn't want to continue with a weakened squad, they didn't want to pay his high wages.
 
What a strange decision. What were they thinking there? That they're going to win the championship? Nuno is a good coach, Tottenham are not willing to invest money and buy players. You do not fire a coach who is 5 points away from top 4 at a club like Tottenham. Now they have to pay Nuno millions and will have to spend money in January and in the summer otherwise Conte will also leave

Or even Atletico. He reportedly turned Spurs down in the summer, as he wants CL football. Doubt now with more options opening up for him as his contract runs down and his form draws attention, he would pick them.
 
Watch Conte take over and win them the Carabao and the Conference League. Two trophies and becomes a king there
 
Nuno was never anything like a fit with those Spurs players. But I can't see Conte or Levy having a smooth ride with each other. Conte is a very prickly character who wants total control and I suspect he'll want to spend massively on that shambles we saw on Saturday and Levy will either have to raise the money or sack Conte! It all remains to be seen ...
