The story I heard was that Mackay had just returned from a serious leg injury, maybe a broken one, and the dirty Leeds players had been targeting him all match.
That photo shows what a snivelling little coward Bremner was. I still fucking detest that man!

Yep, you're bang on. Bremner had kicked the leg that Mackay had broken (twice). If it had been the other leg, he wouldn't have minded!
