Spurs Thread - 2021/22

Just can't believe how badly they've squandered the position they were in in 2019. Champions League finalists, basically a cert for top 4, a long-term project in place. Just needed to back Pochettino to keep it going, but no. Now they're in a cycle of short-term managers overseeing an ageing squad that gets worse by the season.

Moving stadium just fucks teams over, doesn't it?

Nuno sacked for being 8th in the table in October.

Anyone remember when we were 8th in the table in January, then went on to win the thing? Good times.
come on keep up " were just a club that keeps throwing money at it till it works"
Simple Simon this mornings ramble

Just backed him at 25/1 to get the Newcastle job.

I think Newcastle are getting Fonseca which will be brilliant because Spurs rejected him this summer because the new DOF didn't want open attacking football.

So hopefully he goes to Newcastle and has them leapfrog Spurs playing exciting football and Levy looks like a giant prick again.

Yeah - look at us......

If Newcastle are smart, they jump straight in for Nuno.

He's a decent enough manager for them and they won't get anyone better at present.

Disagree. He was poor at Porto, poor to average at Valencia, started well but then halted all progress at Wolves and looks completely burned out and lost at Spurs.

If they wait until they are clear of the relegation zone, they will attract loads of good managers.

They aren't going to get the calibre of manager they had hoped and, if they wait any longer, they will be down before January comes around.

He's good enough for what they need right now and he's available with Premier League experience. He also has a powerful ally in Jorge Mendes, when it comes to perhaps picking up a player or two when the window reopens.
