You could of course be right, but that wasn't what I thought on the night. I think he fucused so much on this game, and put a lot of emphasis on 'measuring themselves against the best'. As if beating us would somehow erase their last 5 games, and he could argue they were much better than they are and had winning mentality and an underdog waiting to burst out.

And when that didn't happen, he quite simply blamed it on the fans. As if the 'winning mentality' should come from them ffs!

The team really did give it that all I felt. There was nothing flat about their performance. They just lost a game of football to a side with more quality and determination.

I took his moans as directed at the fans. Think it will backfire bigtime when the shit hits the fan. And it will.

Never as aggressively as ange, but he has had exchanges with individuals. At one point he offered one his job, and it was clarified in a post match interview too.

I suspect that is utter bollocks.

Fans singing anti arsenal songs and sky milking it is one thing. Anyone at any level of the club wanting to throw the game is completely another. And unlikely imo.

Besides if he only cares for the business of it, why would he care about the fans' dislike of Arsenal, surely the business would be getting top 4.

I don't disagree.

But at least they didn't fuck off in self entitlement in masses with 12 minutes to go when only a goal down chasing a must win. That was the most pathetic thing I have seen a fanbase do, and it wasn't their first.

In reality, opposition fans and players won’t give a shit in a week or so time. Only Arsenal fans will talk about it, especially if you don’t win the league.

I don't dissagree with any of that, however I was kind of putting his fan rant together with his odd statement after the game. Which indicates to me there is possibly a bigger issue at play?

"The foundations are really fragile," the Australian said. "The last 48 hours have shown me that.

"It's inside the club, outside the club. Outside, inside, everywhere. It's been an interesting exercise. It's just my observations, mate."

I think spurs performance was pretty typical of how they normally play against us last night. A couple of breaks and Son normally puts that chance away against us. Cynical nasty fouls and that is the story of most games at their place. We showed maturity and desire in the second half and it would have been cruel on Akanji if his mistake cost us the league as he’s been outstanding this season

They certainly like to leave their mark on our players. Always a dirty team with late tackles, unsubtle yet somehow hardly ever get a red card. Last night was no different.

I think we are both reading into words. I took it as this game and the fans attitude tonthis game. But you could of course be right too. Why would that manifest only in the last 48 hours though? Who knows, we have no idea what happens behind the scenes. Either way, it wasn't a good look.

Anyway, I'm pleased Villa got 4th spot, I can't stand Spurs, Levy or their self entitled fans. Newcastle or Villa are much more deserving of a regular top 6 or 4 place then them.
 
He’s a ****, proper ****, should have done his research before coming to manage down here, typical Aussie big headed bastard and looking for reasons when they are getting beaten, not as easy as it was in Scotland, but he can always go back there, I for one wouldn’t be arsed if he did
