Agreed. For a supposedly 'big club' they've won fuck all to justify that belief. Back when we were allergic to trophies we didn't claim to be giants of the game. The rags were buying every trophy Webb and Co were allowing them and we accepted that we were far below the pecking order. Why can't Spurs do likewise?Levy has been chairman for 23 years, and they've won one (repeat, one) trophy. For a supposedly "big six" club, that's a damning indictment. Clearly, his priorities lie elsewhere (pop concerts, NFL games etc etc). And I can't recall any major campaign by their fans to get him out, unless my memory has put up the white flag). Presumably, then, they're okay with the situation?
Kane(pen) left because he wanted more money, but also he knew he'd never win a trophy with them. And yes, it appears to be incumbent on Levy, he seems to be content to bolster his wallet at the expense of the fans and their hopes for trophies, but he shouldn't have to shoulder the responsibility alone, the whole club needs a thorough clean out from boardroom downwards.
