Spurs Thread | 2025/26

Mental appointment.

He plays a very possession based game. Ball, ball, ball. Clueless defensively, leaves his teams wide open.

Relegation dogfight doesn’t need pretty passing patterns and we’ll outscore you vibes. It needs clean sheets, grind and huge heart. Big Sam, Pulis, Dyche vibes.

Let’s hope these deluded “big club” cunts go down and never come back.
I agree, he’s one of those that plays attacking football and has the principles to play decent stuff. They need a defensive manager that will grind results out in my opinion.

I get why he’s gone, I don’t understand this from Spurs.

I get it from Spurs. The chance to sign a good manager who is available and knows the league. They won't get relegated and they know it. West Ham are just that much more crap. Gives him a bit of free time wnd of this season to start the next one a bit more prepared and aware.

(And then sack him in February).

FFS. Spurs fans going mad about his comments re Mason Greenwood. Here we go, some **** will bring it up in the next game and ask a female pundit about her thoughts. Expect it to be on Question Time......

Is it not fair enough that some Spurs fans would not want a man in charge of their club who thinks a player that threatened to rape and kill his girfriend is a "good guy".

3rd best payed manager in premier! He took spurs pants down and no sacking clause or relegation clause apparently! Think he will give them the boost to get them enough points to stay up! shame!!

Just makes no sense to me. Even where he's done ok, former players have reported that the initial few weeks under him were a bit of a shit show. Seems a risk with only 7 games left to bring a manager in who can cut a divisive figure early on. That combined with his appointment alienating chunks of the fanbase when morale is already low doesnt seem the smartest move.

Apparently he's an argumentative sod who falls out with everyone. This does not bode well for Spuds. They might have the 'new manager' bounce to begin with but no one's going to want to exert themselves this close to the WC. It'll all end in tears and when the new season begins he'll be a distant memory.

This is Spurs we're talking about.

He's on tape threatening to batter and rape his girlfriend and then said girlfriend uploaded pictures of the damage he'd done to her. De Zerbi backed him. I think it's fair enough for Spurs fans to question the appointment on those grounds. I certainly wouldn't want him anywhere near City.

Think he will be good for 2/3 years before that happens he talks a good game and players will listen and know they have to perform now..

Might work well for them but does seem strange.
I would have brought in an experienced manager until the end of the season. Contract offered would have been £10k a week with a staying up bonus of £8m ish.

Then go and get who they wanted long term in summer

Who though .......Big Sam failed at Leeds and if the others that are always mentioned where any good they would be in employment not sat there waiting for the next cash cow to appear
