Spurs Thread | 2025/26

The difference in mindset between Spurs players and any other team that's down there is that most of the Spurs players joined that club thinking it was elite and they'd get European Football season after season Now that bubble has burst they probably can't comprehend the position they're in and neither do they have the fight for it . They've spent a fortune and nothing to show for it except a spanking new stadium and topsy turvey beer pumps .

If they do get relegated, I await the AI version of the ‘you just got Kane’d’ (c)rap video monstrosity , reworked into ‘we just got relegated’

Don’t forget the cheese room, never forget the cheese room

Can't get Nedum Onuoha's words out my head, from the relegation he suffered in his QPR days.

He just said that because they'd signed so many players who were used to winning things, or playing stylish football to win trophies/play CL football, when they got dragged into a relegation dogfight they just didn't know how to react.

They had Julio Cesar from Inter, Traore from Arsenal, Onuoha from City, Bosingwa from Chelsea, Fabio and Park from United, Jenas and Towsend and Taarabt from Spurs, Mbia and Remy from Marseille, and they struggled.

Spurs strike me as being in the same predicament. Lots of players who've played in good teams, who were able to flourish individually thanks to the work of others, now being asked to scrap for each other, and it's coming undone.

They fail against Brighton they are done for me its a must win
Scum home to Wolves
Forrest home to Burnley
West away at Palace

Can see all 3 picking up points
I can see the beating Brighton tbh, Solanke and Richarlison can be a goal threat and Brighton at times play great football but can miss so much in front of goal.Hope I am wrong though

My Chelsea mate is getting seriously giddy about the possibility that spuds could get relegated at Stamford Bridge on 17th of May. In the absence of any domestic trophy’s it would make his season.

That's how real football fandom works :)

I've still not got over being 2 up against the rags and losing 3-2. We would have won the league beating them.
I need to go and lie down, I'm getting misery palpitations just revisting the memory :(

I need to keep pinching myself. Three weeks ago the season was going down the toilet.
Now, oh my days.... we've got an exciting run with the bottlers and, just as exciting, is the roller coaster that spurs are on, all dowhill!!!
If we win the treble; and spurs go down, and arsenal implode, it's going to be a season to top all seasons!!

Romero being out might not be a terrible thing, he's such an unpredictably rash player. When they've got their backs to the wall, they need somebody reliable at the back not a hot head who is just as likely to get himself sent off and cost them games than he is help them.
