Just to add I'm at work tonight, and working with a Villa, an Everton, and a Newcastle fan.

All match going fans, not casuals, and each of them wanted Spurs to lose tonight, and the reason was "Spurs fans", so there must be something you do that gets up people's noses.

I'll kind of hope you now get through the group stages, though pardon me for laughing if you do crash and burn.

However most weeks I'm hoping to be concentrating on what City do, in League, cup, or europe, and not actually giving a toss about Spurs at all.

SFIP - Spurs are not an average team, as proven by last seasons standings. I wouldn't expect many to come to your defence on this forum as a few Blues may be sore as it could have been us playing tonight. Your case is not helped by the lack of affinity for Spurs on the forum.

I would obviously have preferred us to finish 4th but there is the consolation that you knocked out one of the Sky 4 from the CL.

TBH I like chatting with opposition fans but you need to improve your timing, fella.

Im not sure Accrington Stanley could go to fenerbache and win, but yes its a bit over the top.

I know you're not our closest rival, never will be, but i hate Spurs about the same as united.

So why do so many City hate Spurs ?

Your fans, and their behaviour towards City fans, past and present.

Your club/fans being constant wannabee top4, fair play you got it last year, but for years you've been bigger than anyone else in your own minds.

In my life I have never looked at a Spurs forum, but we get plenty of you on here sadly.

I made the point the other day that the reason Spurs and other fans are here is becasue of the reputation Bluemoon has. It's genuinaly not doing City fans any favours. There was a thread on here a while ago asking why city are becoming so hated and none of you mentioned Bluemoon posters. There are links to Blumemoon threads on so many other forums. Go Villatalk, Redcafe, Toffeetalk or Spurscommunity and you'll find links to threads on this forum, to illustrate what City fans are like. The reason there are so many Spurs posters here was because of the amount of anti Spurs thread posted here around the time we played you last season. Our fans were shocked by the anamosity and had no idea you hated us so much. And what makes it worse is the things you accusse Spurs fans of and the reasons you give for hating us, are traits that are prominent amongst posters here. You seem to hate Spurs fans for being exaclty like loads of City fans. Until we discovered Bluemoon and all the anti PSurs sentiment, there really was no hard feeling towards Coty amonsgt SPurs fans at all. In fact I think most Spurs fans would have had soft spit for seasonas they can empathise with what its like to have a more successful same city rival. After our agme at the end of last season I thought some bridges had been built as a number of Bluemoon posters cameotu and condmened the anti Spurs stuff posted here, but its just gone back to the same it was before and there is no reason for it. Spurs have never had an issue with City.

Excellent post. Most of these are ludicrous claims and bad stereotypes. Most Spurs fans do not mind City at all.

most city fans iv met dont really mind spurs its only the cyber mob who detest us because we beat them in the fa cup 30 years ago. Theyre bitter because we outclass them on a regular basis.
