Spurs Vs City Post match thread.

Just how long is it going to be before the FA rule we have to give teams a 3 goal start to make thinks fair?
Reckon we would probably be comfortably mid table if that were the case anyway...
This is fantasy football we are playing.
Unreal.

As a neutral, I think Spurs were a little hard done by tonight.

A goal wrongly disallowed and a penalty wrongly given where Rose clearly got the ball and was sent off.

Against 10 men there was never any doubt.

Having said all that, I still think City would have won, so maybe an academic argument but of course, we will never know.
So when Walker caught the ball we weren't hard done by?
Or when Rose dived for the free kick?
Or when Ade stayed on the pitch?
Or when they sent that **** on at half time to do a 30 second hatchet job on Silva?

Nah...

Go fuck a lemon.

Owen is turning back to the Rag **** he once was!

They are right pissed off about the pen! Did we ever have such a postmortem on some of the Rag pens. Did we ever have any broadcaster who took a linesman to task for giving a penalty to MANUre.

BT have even changed us into Fiorentina now. They really are useless!

A rag pen is always justified even if its Ashley Young "gaining it"......"well he may have made the most of it but there was definite intent there even though his foot was nowhere near him"
Lol, but fuck 'em all. The more they whinge the sweeter it sounds

Well done Edin ran over to the fans, got past the stewards and threw his shirt to a fan………….quality man

Really? That's class.

He had a bad shooting night, but:

Won a penalty/red card/2nd goal
Scored third goal
Set up 5th for Vinny on the bounce
Did everything else just about right.

Close MOTM for me...

I really think a big problem for Dzeko is not necessarily that he misses a lot of chances (most strikers do from time to time), but the manner in which he misses. It's never a case of him putting one six inches wide or clipping the bar, he either seems to score or put the bloody thing into orbit. It comes across as careless or neglectful somehow I think.

Which isn't to criticise his performance tonight by the way. I thought after a fairly subdued first half he had an excellent second period.

He may return to Germany at the end of the season but I have heard Bradford Bulls are interested.

Great effort by all concerned tonight. The closing down of players was immense by everybody. I don't think I've commented on Dzeko much in the past, good or bad, but the Dzeko I saw tonight is the one I want to see, full of running and commitment. Sure, his shooting boots weren't on, but he more than made up for it in team-play.

Can't believe the ref didn't get a grip on the game earlier. We battered them for thirty minutes then Spurs resorted to kicking and tripping our players and they got away with it. The penalty in the first half we should have had and the trip on Zab were let go and the ref lost it. Spurs players knew they could get away with stuff and they targeted our best players. Their goal had Adebayor offside in front of Hart and Zabaleta being pushed back towards the goal. They might have got the decision on another day but it wouldn't make it correct.

In the second half Spurs continued to kick our players and we did get a break with the penalty, I though Rose had been their best player until he was sent off. Maybe a yellow and a penalty would have been fairer, but when he had already let fouls from Spurs players go unpunished all over the pitch, he had lost control of the game. If Dzeko had took his chances we would have scored 5-6 even if they had 11 men on the pitch.

The disallowed goal was clearly offside okay we got a break with the pen and red but total shots Spurs 3 City 21, ball possession percentage Spurs 33% City 68% say no more.Spuds well beaten always playing the bad ref card IT'S LIKE A FUCKIN IT'S A KNOCKOUT JOKER ! Spurs fans stop snivelling and grow a pair.

These "analysts" need to pull their heads out their arses.

Tottenham had like ONE chance the entire game, and scored.

We fucking hammered them, had like 20 chances - if we were more accurate with the finish....we would've made it even MORE EMBARASSING than it already is (11:1 this season).

It's actually quite funny to me.

As a neutral, what do you reckon to the City penalty that wasn't given, the offending player almost caught it. Or the dive for the free kick for the offside goal. Or the stamp on Silva's foot. Or the general kicking lumps out of our players. Don't seem to be hearing a dickie bird about all the decisions that went against us. Not surprised in the least though.

I would also say that Dawson elbowed Kun, whatever Owen said.
