The weather was good.

The view (lower tier) was OK.

Kolarov is a fucking idiot.

Spurs were better all over the pitch.
Marriner is a spineless Muppet for not showing Rose a second yellow on several occasions.
And Danny Rose is a cheating ****.
And the traffic wasn't bad in either direction.
And Danny Rose should be shot.

Yes, it's obvious, but who would you use if Gundo can't play the full game, Garcia is young and inexperienced, and Dinho is needed in No8 role as KdB is injured? Pep just had no choice. He works with the players he has atm, he can't turn Nando into Busi. Our squad is very thin, but it's not a problem of Pep's abilities as a squad selector.

This has some truth. I guess I'm just a bit disappointed that our manager is mortal after all - and yes we should have scored at least one goal. Aguero was unlucky on two occasions.

That said, I'd certainly have started with Clichy and Sagna as our full backs. They are out best and you have to play your best against the best teams.
Not starting with Fernandinho as the midfield pivot was bad though - hopefully Pep now realises Fernando is just a stopper. He really cannot pick a man out and pass the ball forward. If I had to pick a team, then knowing we would be a bit tired (actually not quite as sharp) after Wednesday I'd have gone for a midfield 2 or 3 as well, where Fernando's talent as a Stopper would be at least usable. Sterling would be on the right as well where he is far more dangerous.

This is a work in progress. New manager, trying new system. What are people expecting with new manager only in place 3 months. He has to see if the squad he has is capable then make his decision on the future squad. 1 transfer window and everyone expecting to ship out dead wood straight away and have replacement's brought in without any problems. Be realistic it don't work that way and thinking we'll just get 2 fullbacks handy in January. It's not like you just pick them off a shelf in supermarket. Too much of the I want it all and I want it right now mentality on this forum. As I said work in progress. Patience..

They were better than us, simple as that. However, I think if we'd have got one goal then we would have got the second as well

As stated earlier in preseason,Guardiola is a football manager not a magician. We all knew last season's team wasn't balanced and needed improving so it's hardly a surprise when (more or less) last season's team played we got beat! We missed Nolito and Debruyne for starters and our fullbacks are nowhere near Spurs' standard never mind Barcelona!

Not the end of the world but room for improvement

That felt like a top game of football today and it's what makes the game what it is. All the experts on here, on tv and in the papers and yet nobody knows anything really. You could have cleaned up at the bookies this weekend by having City, rags, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Monchengladbach to amass 3 points between them this weekend, with not one of them winning.
That is the attraction of this great game; when we think we know stuff it quickly becomes obvious that we don't know anything really; and long may it continue.
