I think Mangala has a bit of a thing for the Number 2. His shirt at Porto was 22. Maybe he just like his number to contain a 2 in it. Maybe Mangala will take that, then?

That's what I take it to mean.

He was seemingly introduced as such at City Live tonight.

At least, nothing was said to indicate he won't be in the first-team squad.

If we do bring him in, along with JD, Marcos and Nacho, it will shut up all the idiots rambling on about our 'ageing squad'.

There will be a "massive announcement " tomorrow as regards squad numbers with a new number 9 and 10.
I'm assuming the Kun as number 10 as we have heard the last couple of days and Kelechi as number 9 if not Bony.

Listened to a woman bleat on for about 30 mins last night whilst waiting to get into City Live who was going to cause Mass Destruction if Aguero's shirt number is changed to 10. What she was going to do to the club after willingly selling her the new home shirt with Aguero 16 on only last week i simply can't repeat on here.

It's not like 16 is a completely irrelevant number now. Aguero has created history with that number in a City shirt. And nobody is going to think it looks odd to have an Aguero 16 shirt. I don't get names/numbers on my shirts, but if I had just bought an Aguero 16 shirt, I really wouldn't be arsed. The shirt is not suddenly void.

I don't know who is having what just been told by someone involved in the printing side that we will have a new #9 and #10 and with the recent Kun talk I assumed it was him but it could just as easy be Bony who wore 10 at Swansea and Nacho as 9. Would be a massive statement to give it him.

I also think that Rony lopes will be given 17

I don't see why squad numbers can't be announced alongside a kit launch. It's very poor, by all clubs, to leave the possibility of number changes so late when people will have already spent a small fortune on the latest kit. I know players leave etc but just give players the number they want or set a deadline for changes prior to a launch.

I remember Bendtner reimbursed both of those who bought his 26 shirt at Arsenal before he changed his number, that was a nice gesture.

Any one with Aguero 16 shirts will be refunded or have a replacement issued by the Club I would imagine.

Think its down to the fan to wait till the squad no's are announced or the transfer windows shut,there's probably a gang of dzeko fan boys moaning about their new city shirts too
If kun was going to take the no 9 shirt I think the club should have said something but if he's going to take the no 10 that's still dzeko there's nothing city could have done,hart,nasri,and kolarov have all swapped recently

We,ve seen with delph this time anything is possible with transfers,
Where for certain would edin have gone bar Roma ?
The home kits been out about 4 weeks with dzeko still at 10 not certain to move

Well Roberts was 27 I think in pre-season, which is not an absurd number, so I wouldn't be shocked to see Iheanacho given a legitimate strikers number.
