SSN: Pompey players not paid for november

I put a bet on 2 years ago that a team from the Priemier League will go into administration. Pompey having been hanging on the best part of 6 months. I have only till the end of the year. In a way I wasn't expecting it to be Pompey but if it happens I make a nice little earner.

What were the odds?

They have the look of a club on the way out of business to me. This sort thing never happens in the prem really.

They dont have the fan base, stadium, infrastructure or academy that clubs like Leeds, City, Shef Wed, Forrest have had to fall back on in the past.

If they are relegated it will be the end of them - and I mean end No more PFC, with the debts they have and no assets it will mean ground sold, what players that are left sold end of story. Probably end up starting again in the non leagues like Wimbeldon.

They are not a viable club even at Championship level. There are loads of clubs in the first division with much better grounds, setup fan base etc I think its all over for them personally.

Well Wimbeldon's fans, simply got fucked out of their club the "club" didn't drop out of the league. That being said I agree with the rest of what you said, they sure do have that look

Platini's plans to save the english football might come too late for Portsmouth.

True with WImbeldon I was just saying that is the sort of route the hardcore pompey fans will probably end up having to take to get their club started again as I cant see anyway they can survive at all without prem revenues.

Got to say Mandaric sort this comming most of the problems you see now are a consequence of Harry R tenure at the club, he did the same at West Ham loads of transfer deals only 2 - 3 year game plan. The Mandaric want to put the money into building a new ground, developing a academy he saw this comming did could business selling for good money bought Leicester instead, proper club with a briliant new stadium large catchment area and fans base.
