When was the last time a game in a major stadium got cancelled due to weather

Everton vs Liverpool was one from last season.

We've had games cancelled due to weather, or really high winds. Sunderland at home a few years back? League Cup semi against United due ot the snow

They were all cancelled due to unsafe conditions outside the ground for fans mate, a roof over the pitch would make no difference

Does anyone have any examples of new(ish) stadiums that do look great from the outside?

I always like to see the Allianz Arena in Munich at night. The colors they can make it can really make it look spectacular. The fact that it stands out on its own, away from the city, only adds to its otherworldliness.





Over the last decade or so, American baseball stadiums have gone for the more traditional look, with a lot of brick. Some of those, I’m particularly thinking of Baltimore Orioles home stadium, look very nice.



I’m surprised that City have never sought to put a retractable roof on the Etihad. It’s great for sunlight and rain to get on the field at all times of the day or night, but it would be a much more pleasurable experience for all concerned if games could take place under the roof if the weather was inclement.



Oh well…

Birmingham City stadium has been revealed.

The outside will be divisive (I like it) but internally it beats the new Spurs stadium with a huge end behind both goals.

I was curious about the progress on the Etihad Park project for NYCFC and checked here but couldn't find anything. So, I had look around myself and I thought I might aswell share what I could find, for those with an interest in these things.

There doesn't seem to be any drone enthusiasts covering the build unfortunately but there's one YT channel and some recent photos from another New York based website that have been posted recently. It seems to be taking shape now.

I moved to the Boston area 14 years ago and they were proposing different sites for the Revs back then.
The Krafts won’t pay for it. And parking / traffic in Everett will be a nightmare.

This is probably the most likely to happen out of all the proposed sites. Not sure how much Krafty Bob will put into it but they have reached agreement with the Mayors of Everett and Boston but there's a long way to go yet; Boston politics being what it is...;) If it does happen, I will miss strolling over to Gillette and scoring cheap tickets before the game starts...:) It will be better for the team though to have their own stadium. Again, if it happens.

Guessing here, but won't that main stand redevelopment be an absolute nightmare due to the river?

Would they have to be looking at moving out while the work is done?

Supposedly building shops and restaurants in it as well.

One of the restaurants will over look the Trent so people can see the bodies floating past from the latest gangsters war in The Meadows.

Most of the ideas are good - those chimneys are not and make it look more like Wonka World for me
