Stadium Developments thread - San Siro to be demolished (p56)

Surely Newcastle would just be better off building a new 70k stadium? The land in Newcastle is no where near as expensive as London.

Any West Ham fans know if it's possible to dig down and add seats to improve the view and attendance at the London Stadium? When you look at the view from the top of the stand it's only the same really as you'd get at the top of Wembley, just the view from the lower deck is crap.

This method was done with the Etihad. Only problem is they'd probably end up with a white elephant 85-90k seater stadium.

A land swap with the adjacent Leazes Park would make sense… build the stadium on the park and then knock St James’s Park Down and turn it into a park. They can never build a decent stadium on that site because of Leazes Terrace which is listed and right up against a whole side of the ground.

Didn’t realise the stands at Atletico’s new ground were so shallow. Seen how far away the 2nd and 3rd tiers are away from the pitch behind the goal?

WOW, that is some incredible structure, makes the new arena look very ordinary.

There’s a reason why it looks so incredible. It’s 6 times the cost of the Coop Live Arena.

The ticket prices will be astronomical, as it only has a capacity of 17,500.

The price tag for the MSG Sphere at The Venetian climbed another $175 million to $2.18 billion, executives with Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. reported Wednesday.

The cost of the 17,500-seat entertainment venue being built east of The Venetian Expo — due to open in the second half of 2023 — has gone up because of the ongoing impact of inflation, global supply chain pressures and the overall complexity of the project, MSGE officials said during the company’s fiscal first-quarter earnings call.

I agree but that the difference between iconic buildings and the rest.

The internals of the arena look superb but exterior looks far from impressive, hopefully the led's will make a huge difference.

The global supply/energy crisis has affected ALL construction and will continue to do so.
