Won't be necessary, they'll just say "Sorry guys, we'd just love to invest £1bn in regenerating Newcastle but we might have to spend that money on finding a solution to the expanding the stadium some other way now you've said the houses have to stay..."

That's the point I was making! Threaten to take the cash elsewhere and they'll soon get the thumbs up.

Think they’ve threatened a move across the Tyne to Gateshead previously. I don’t know why they can’t go where Leazes park is to be honest for anyone who knows the area. They move to the park and then the existing site becomes a park….. The big pull for the City Council is that St James Park is very close to the City centre so a major redevelopment - almost certainly involving a 90 degree rotation of the pitch - would be mouth watering. Been lots of redevelopment in that area since the demise of the brewery.
 
Fulham new stand upper tier starting to open up:

The Club is delighted to announce a new allocation of seats will be made available within the upper tier of the new Riverside Stand, available for the first time from next Saturday’s West London derby against Chelsea.

The upper tier boasts some of the very best seats and vantage points within Craven Cottage, providing an unparalleled matchday experience.

Initially, 700 seats across blocks R11 and R12 will be made available for the Fulham v Chelsea fixture (Saturday 10th September, kick-off 12:30pm), and it is anticipated that further seats will be released for future matches.

All seats in the upper tier at the Fulham v Chelsea match are priced at £100 for adults and concessions, and £70 for juniors, are now on sale to supporters with a previous booking history.
