^^ agreed, although the blue/grey UFO appearance looks good against the city skyline, especially at night as you approach and can see into the corners from some angles. I quite like the charm of rain-soaked concrete and unless you want to repaint it every 2-3 years, or fit steel cladding all over the stadium, the prominent colour has to be bare concrete. They've covered a lot of the outside grey bits with massive kit adverts and namecheck tarpaulins anyway and they've painted a lot of the concrete concourse floors both inside and outside.danburge82 said:I think our stadium is a grey, dirty rain soaked concrete, dull monstrosity of a stadium from the outside. The only nice thing about the outside of the stadium is the glass which has now been covered up and looks shit!
Inside the stadium looks nice, the solid blue of the seats looks miles better than if any writing was put on them. Of course the pitch is quality, i wasn't counting that as the stadium as it's the pitch and not the stadium.
I too can't believe they've ruined the lovely side entrance windows. I assume that the visiting dignitaries complained that the proles could see inside.
