no no not edinburgh, august is bad enough for the festival tourists jamming up the place without you lot...........

seriously, festival tourists will take away a lot of the fun, they pack the pubs drinking fizzy water and are all called tarquin and jocasta. you'll end up in a cell after it all gets too much and you lay one out.

I hide in the flat for weeks over the summer to avoid them

haha- to be fair I live in leicestershire now, half my mates are posh students who have come back from uni suddenly talking la di daa.
The other half would probably want to deck them.

Looking like it could be a road trip to Amsterdam after talking to a few friends. That boat trip sounds decent though. Prague is amazing but as a grup of lads we went last year. I'm trying to avoid strippers. Last year in prague i ended up pissed out my face in a stripclub that took plastic! all I have for memories is 200 quids worth or reciepts :(

I'm best man for my brothers wedding in late august and Ive been tasked with arranging a stag do. Ive changed my mind pretty much every week for the past 2 months as regards to what to do. But I need to get my act in gear and book something or somewhere within the next week or so.

Any advice or experiences would be great. I'm not good with this sort of stuff I normally leave it to the mrs to book hols and what have you. We are after somethign relavly easy to sort out, relatively cheap. But something memorable. about 10-15 of us wil be going i reckon.

Some things we have come up with are!

1. Road trip to amsterdam for a long weekend
2. Going to endinburgh for the festval having a night out there, then making our way down to newcastle then leeds for 2 other nights out.
3. Booze cruise to some place in europe "amsterdam or bruge?" This sounds good but googled and struggled to find much.
4. Long weekend in newquay?

We're on a stag do the while the fringe is on 7th-9th August Comedy night on the friday and meal then on the piss,
Saturday consists of clay pigeon shooting and then hovercraft racing then VIP at aclub its costing about £170 all in and anothwer 60 squid for the train!

I must admit we did Palma as well and visited Megamuff by taxi great time!

Went to Krakow last year.
Cheap EasyJet flights from Liverpool, beer prices ok.
We booked apartments rather than hotels and from memory a 2night stay only worked out at £40/50 each for the apartments.
Bars/Clubs were good

A mate of mine had a weekend in Barcelona for his stag do....
