If he won the case it wouldn't be the first time he had beaten a woman.

Don't think it's fair to keep on tagging him with this. He hit Ulrika, a horrible and coward thing to do. But ... He didn't seriously harm her, he admits to it, is ashamed of it and has taken serious abuse for it. He made a mistake.

For a guy that suffers from depression I think it's unfair that over a decade later from that incident people are still hurling abuse at him.

As long as he didn't hurt her that's fine i often punch women with bubble wrap, modern man and all that, off to kick the dog with my new marshmellow shoes

Whatever you do, dont put your feet up in front of the fire after you've done it.

Stan "ten clubs" Collymore is a twat, he's constantly on the WUM, I remember pissing myself when he started talking about Football Mercenaries, I'd rather have Hansen on the MOTD Sofa.

I hope they take each other to court and the lawyers clean them both out tbh.
To be fair he's angering a lot of people on twitter and they are Calling for him to be sacked from talksport. He's accused of insulting Falklands veterans

He sure did

'Falklands? Wasn't anyone's. We just thieved it, as we do. What glory, what triumph. A f***ing island with sheep. Rule Britannia'

I have no time for Stan but where in that tweet does he insult veterans? He doesn't, unless you are a busy **** who want your patriotic interpretation of history to be the only view aired. What Stan did was make his point in a silly and provocative manner, I don't even know why he was on the topic in the first place. The Falklands was a silly war started by a fascist government for political promotion, which ended with the political promotion of Mrs Thatcher.

It also claimed the lives of 253 of our men, that's why his stupid comments have angered people

How wrong can you be? He rubbished the efforts of those that fought and died to gain the islands back. I haven't mentioned anything political............unlike yourself!

He did and it was ill advised, but his words could be applied to any criticism of conflict. It is an indirect insult though, he didn't mention Veterans probably because he didn't think of them it was just an uninformed view. Do you think that Stan had been reading through various history books on the topic and came to that conclusion? I understand why Veterans would take personal offence but what he said though insensitive did not intend offence to any veterans as individuals or as a whole (I am assuming that he wasn't replying to a veteran). The calls for him to be sacked are completely over the top. He isn't in an official position so isn't required to take a party line, and what he said is not so offensive that it requires disciplining. He is just a sad man on twitter, I don't know why anyone cares to be honest.

P.S. Kinky I wasn't referring to you directly it was a general point, and that is probably some of the motivation behind making a story of this, with the primary motive being the media aiming to fill column inches and airtime.

There is no glory in war and nearly every war is silly with hindsight, but to rubbish the efforts of the veterans by saying its just an island with sheep is way off the mark.

It is an exaggeration but one loosely based on reality- Wool production has always been a major industry on the island and still accounts for one of its major exports. My A level teacher joked that the Falkands were occupied by sheep shaggers but no one took offence or reported him as a "cultural marxist" to his seniors. I doubt most of the drive behind this is really from Veterans, (who would rather not discuss the conflict) but from sad cases on twitter getting offended by proxy. The nature of Twitter is that the limited space to comment produces an environment that encourages a not too serious level of discussion, (most people that have a serious and thought out point will refer to an external blog). Taking anything serious from a twitter provocateur like Stan is just plain silly.

Most of the drive is indeed from veterans..........
