Oh yeah. American and, actually, a much more dated reference than most of you will get now that I think about it.

Siskel and Ebert were movie critics and would give a thumbs up or down at the end of their reviews.

Wow. Didn't realize that their show, At the Movies, aired from 1986-1999, when Siskel died of cancer. Ebert kept the format alive with guest hosts until 2010.

Geez, I'm old. LOL
