Star Trek Trailer... Wow!

The trailer looks very good. I'd have liked them to carry on with maybe a Titan film starring Johnathan Frakes (Commander Riker) or a Star Trek Voyager movie...

I'm really looking forward to this though. When's it due out?

Am I a Trekkie??

Hmm... Dunno if I'd go that far, cos I wasn't a huge fan of the 'Voyager' series. I felt that lost it's way. What I did like in the original was the interaction between the main characters. I also liked 'New Generation' cos we had an aloof/ quintessential English gent at the helm(forgot the French sh*te) and it made for cool dissection of ensuing problems.

So, yes and no about my 'Trekkiness'!!

By the way, it's out in May 2009. Was originally Christmas 2008, but I knew that would be pushing it.

I've been into it in a big way from a young boy, watching the original showing of The Next Generation and repeats of The Originals on BBC 2

I really enjoyed Voyager, the crew being so far from home often presented them with difficult moral dilemmas.

I agree about The Next Generation too. Pure quality, Patrick Stewart plays the role so well, a totally different kind of Captain to Kirk.

'Enterprise' was a bag of shit though.

Fook me! 'New Generation'!! What guff was that?! Of course, 'Next Generation' is what I meant! I liked some elements of 'Enterprise', although it got a bit convoluted plot and love interest-wise! T'Pol is just the sexiest Trekkie ever, hands down!

Just wasn't sure with the whole 'Time Rift' saga. That got REALLY messy and it never got finished as the series got chopped.

Just so the uneducated can get an idea..

Voyager was by far the best Star Trek. Next Gen has dated worse than the original Star Trek. It's political correctness says more about the time it was made, rather than the time it is set in.

Ahh a man with sense, the problem for me with star trek voyager was Kate Mulgrew (Captain Kathryn Janeway). As Sci-fi for me is for men very very thew women follow it so it is basially a type of show mainly for men like soaps are for women. And the producers broke the goldens rule by having Kate Mulgrew as captain. The captain either has to be someone to look up to and you want to be them or if there female you want to fuck them. I'm sorry but Kate Mulgrew is not someone i'd want to fuck and she sure as hell isn't someone i'd want to be.

It's hard to explain what i'm trying to get across but it was like you had a really good show and then they went and stuck your mam in charge of it which ruined it for me.
