Star Wars Battlefront 3

Looks great but has the depth of a small pond. This is a shooter with loads of style over very little substance. It's aimed at the console kiddies. I Still had fun though. It's Star Wars for God's sake. The AT-AT's need to be sorted, as does the feeling when flying, it's hard to describe but it doesn't feel right. Not sure I like power ups, in fact, no, I fucking hate power ups. Will think long and hard about buying this...especially as it's 50 quid!
 
It is really disappointing that the game isn't fleshed out. That was the whole essence of the original game, things like Single player Galactic conquest with about 30 different planets. This game just seems like Dice have cottoned on to the success Star Wars will receive when released and thought to revive the popular title.

Nope, the Hoth battle has X Wings, A Wings and Speeders available to control with Y - Wings being called in via the relays. They havent gone completely accurate.

I still think it's fairly poor design for one side to be so heavily reliant on winning the aerial battle, especially when it's random as to who and when people can spawn in them.

Yup, winning as the rebels is hard with a bad team, especially when you have people taking the fighter pickups that just instantly crash them wasting it, but if you've got people who can fly fighting in the skies as the rebels, its not too hard to win.
 
Completely forgot about the Beta, I had Friday off as well :( so could have had some serious fun on this. I will just wait for when it's released in just over a month. Saw a few vlogs on youtube and it looks awesome. I think this will be a hit for casual gamers.

I wouldn't bother mate. they've absolutely nailed the visuals and sounds of the star wars universe but the gameplay is poor and repetitive. Everybody i've spoken to that played the beta got bored of it well before it ended.

any casuals playing on PC are getting owned badly by seasoned and veteran battlefield players.

i decided to give it another go yesterday and played 4 rounds on walker assault. as follows: -

game 1 - 59 kills/15 deaths
game 2 - 75 kills/18 deaths
game 3 - 45 kills/3 deaths
game 4 - 52kills/5 deaths

most of the casuals had left the server by then and it was left to 8-10 players on opposite team to try and play
