Looking at this on wikipedia, the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and the 00's, are all pretty much covered by Alcohol, Cocaine, and Morhine/Heroin.
But FOUR of the last five are attributed to Fentanyl, a drug so deadly even darknet markets that sell guns, fake drugs and heroin won't list it. Last time I checked, I think the Chinese have taken the hint and are going to stop selling it by the Kg on Alibaba.
I'm just suprised meth isn't higher up the list but I suppose it just makes you look like an anorexic zombie, rather than actually killing you. Oxycodeine as well - much of rural america is blighted by addiction to this, with OD's extremely common place. We're not doing much better, what with synthetic cannabis and so on. Anyone see that Prison doc on Channel 4, eighty percent of them going schiz from OD's whilst the dealers swan about? Sickening.
BTW - apropos of absolutely nothing, I hope Shaun Ryder is happy and well.
