How are you getting on with your golf Robbo? I hope your still managing to get out and hit a few balls.

I'm looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow with some trepidation, and expecting a text message from my playing partner at around 9am tomorrow morning, saying something like "It looks a bit gloomy Gareth, shall we sack it off today??" I'll probably play anyway!

Going for a round today......for the first time in a long time

I wasn't sure how long it has been...that was until I got my bag ready
yesterday...and found a bar of chocolate with the best before date 30/10/07

It looked ok as well........today is going to be a long day I think....

Well what a nice day.....played Altrincham (£17),par on the first two holes.....then it went downhill.....Lost 3 balls...(not bad)...shot 103......
The lad I was playing with shot 93 and he plays all the time
I had the touch of a baby elephant with the putter....but other than the long par5 9th hole,it was not much worse than 6years ago

Only downside is my feet are fooking killing me

So all you lapsed golfers get the clubs out and give it a go

Played for the first time in 9 months today,Alty again(£17.50) A 50p increase
7at the 1st,my putting is woeful, but tee to green,bar a few duff chips,I played well
Played one ball the whole way round and shot 96,which is the first time in 20yrs I have broken 100 playing this stupid game,managed to get sunburned as we'll at was roasting half way round
I'm going to try and play a bit more this year and at a few new courses

Just remember the greenkeepers have a tough job that's more complicated than you think whom in more cases than not do the best that they can with the resources they have at their disposal.
Which in a lot of cases these days are reducing alongside a rise in player expectations, increased competition and rising maintenance costs.

And don't blame them or the course for your own sh*t play :)
