Starters, or straight to main course?

Starters are for the greedy. Does my head in when people say they want them. Always end up eating too much. Was out last night with work and I ordered the tomato pesto bread, thinking small brushetta type thing. It was basically a plain pizza with no cheese. Ffs. Nice but ruined my main course.
So they’re for the greedy, it does your head in when people want them - but you ordered them?!

It isn’t yet a felony to leave a bit of the starter. I found out. did it the other week, left half of my starter. I was expecting to be bludgeoned to the floor with an assortment of kitchen utensils. Nobody said or did a fucking thing. I felt as if I was starring in an episode of The Twighlight Zone.

I won’t he going back.

Tell myself every time ‘no starter, don’t need one’. Look at menu, order starter and then regret once my main arrives and I’m not that hungry.

Starter over dessert every day of the week.

Ditto. I’m allergic to chocolate so it limits my choices a fair bit. Have to check even when ordering a strawberry cheesecake as the amount of places that put chocolate powder on everything nowadays!
