Starters, or straight to main course?

I watched a mate of mine order a quarter chicken tandoori as a starter, half chicken tandoori as main course, and the remaining quarter chicken as a side dish.

The waiter didn't bat an eye. It's probably not uncommon.

Does he do the same with other things? Liks ordering a portion of chips but asking for it to be served in 4 installments?

Curry Mile was a laugh after Maine Road. I only did it a few times but so many restaurants were well populated by Blues.

I ate in different ones but Mughli (spelling) sticks out. Understand it’s decimated now.

That rings a bell. Mostly twated when getting a curry on the strip.

What's happened to it?

Went in a Chinese years ago after a good few beers, a very demur, polite Waitress came to take our order, one of the more pissed up in our party said “I’ll have the Donald” thinking she was so naive he thought he was a comedian. The Waitress gave him a deadpan look and said “certainly Sir, do you want half a Donald or the full Donald?”

The rest of us applauded the Waitress as we continued to piss ourselves laughing.
