Starting XI V Stoke - Boxing Day

i think bobby will play robbie and ade, and robbie will play out of his skin and score at least 1

Put Richards back in the middle (can't believe I'm saying that but Toure is that bad), hope Kompany is kept in the middle as I think De Jong has a negative impact on the team, and I hope Robinho isn't starting.

if robinho and adebayor play it is a farce. they have been a disgrace.

Spot on against Sunderland we had the width we so badly missed against Spurs and a strliker that actually played as one and held the ball up superbly. That ia the one thing about Hughes going now,I was looking forward to us playing like that in the next few games and was confident.I hope pinky and perky don't just walk straight back into the team on name. The link up between Bellers Tevez and Roque was great to watch on Saturday and it made a change to see us defend from the front. The fact we couldn't defend from the back on basic crosses was purely down to Toure and co.

Is quite exciting to see how Bobby plays it though now.

we need to ditch that formation we currently use it is the route of alot of dramas in our team. do you guys think we could pull of a traditional 4-4-2 with two wide players i.e SWP & Petrov to get the ball into RSC/ADE?

----------------Given------------

Richards--Toure--Kompany---barry-----

SWP-----NDJ---Ireland---Petrov/Bellers

-----Tevez/bellers----Bellers/RSC/Ade----

What do you guys think?

------------------Given------------------
De Jong---Richards---Onouaha---Sylvinho
----------------Kompany-----------------
SWP-------------Barry------------Bellamy
--------Tevez------------RSC------------

My guess:
------------------Given---------------

Richards----Toure-----Onouha----Barry

----------------Kompany--------------

SWP------Tevez-----Robinho----Bellamy

---------------Santa Cruz-------------

Barry for Sylvinho for obvious reasons (I think).
Kompany holding (gets my vote over De Jong for his extra height defending Stoke's set piece threat).
Robinho for Ireland (I'm a big Ireland fan, but Robinho has to play in Mancini's first game, to send out a statement).
Santa Cruz stays (unfair to drop him after his Sunderland performance).

------------------Given----------------

Richards----Toure-----Kompany----Barry

SWP-------Ireland------NDJ-----Bellamy

----------Tevez-----Santa Cruz--------

- The defense is makeshift i know, and a bit more physical bearing in mind its Stoke and injuries. I wouldn't normally put Kompany in defence, but circumstances dictate
- The midfield has a high workrate
- The attack features Santa ahead of Ade because its Christmas

Defensive options: Taylor, Zabba, Sylvi
Attacking options: Robbie, Ade, Weiss, Martin

A bit worried about Kompany/Barry tbh
