Appeals process doesn't really give us a chance to properly defend Adebayor, but we had grounds to take this further IMO.

As you can only offer a defence, not in person, for the violent conduct ban and he has already been found guilty then it would have been a waste of time

The misconduct charge can be defended in person and so this is a different situation.
