If Man City finalize the Kolarov deal.(which is increasingly likely even with Lazio's demands for more cash, ) they will make a concerted effort to enlist his Serbian international team mate. Nemanja Vidic's head has been turned and it is facing in the direction of Eastlands.Obviously Utd will not wish to offload Vidic to their local rivals, but City representatives assigned to Italy by Cook (as he has joined the City squad in Portland Oregon) will be instructed to bid for Utd target; Chiellini if Utd refuse to play ball over Vidic. Utd will only go for Chiellini and match his wage demands if they sell Vidic for £18M or more. Utd once again find themselves between a rock and a hard place.They are finding it hard to match transfer fees and wage demands offerred by the richer clubs of Europe. with the possibility of being left with only Smalling and Evans as first choice fit centrebacks. Vidic could and definitely would, still go to Madrid. Mourinho is a long time admirer of Vidic, and if this happens City will seriously attempt to buy Chiellini.
