Is anyone interested in sponsoring Stevie for this worthy cause. Stevie and some of his family and friends are playing 1,000 hole golf marathon in Spain, with all the proceeds going to Francis House Children's Hospice, Didsbury, Manchester. Go to http://www.stephenireland.com and click on the charity page and go to donate. enter the amount (no amount too small) and specify in the reference section 'Golf'

Everyone who donates will have their name displayed on the site and a chance to win 2 tickets in Stevie's executive box with players lounge tickets and a meeting with Stevie

He is doing a great job and I admire him for that. But, with that said, I find it a bit unconfortable to sponsor a premiership footballer playing golf in the costa del sol. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Sponsor one of the other golfers then

Thanks for that, but I don't need you or anyone else to tell me what to give to charity. If you want to give money then that is great.

Calm down it was just a suggestion in response to you feeling "uncomfortable"

What does everyone else think about this? Isn't why is he doing it more important than where he is doing it?

alright Superman :)

its great hes/your....(im convinced beadle is SI) putting on an event to raise money and awareness, ill be donating.

id say set up some sort of sponsorship which results in SI doing the celebration again, say if the fans reach 500pound or more in sponsors, the superman celebration comes back again lol etc bit of incentive for the fans to get something back, plus nobody could criticise SI as its for charity. (imagine the cheer also if the fans were responsible for getting the celebration back)

we read the daily mail article about he'd do an interview if the Mail donated some money to his charity, so some fun sponsorships where the fans get something back would really get people talking about it. imagine MOTD announcing there putting money towards the case to get the superman back :)

could be good fun

We'd let SI off though if he scored against the rags and the 'superman' came back :)

Which course is he playing? I would'nt mind 3 rounds in spain in the current bun. Good on the lad though, it's a fantastic charity to support. Could you imagine having a terminally ill child? Just think about it! Now get your hands in your pocket!!!
