Just an update, between here and the other messageboard mention on the Stepehn Ireland Foundation Charity site we have so far raised a total of £1098 providing Stephen scores 12 goals. We have had 19 pledges 1 of which is coming from a United fan.

Brilliant, that is very generous of you, the initial target was about £2000 but if we carry on getting so many kind donations we will smash this easily. I appreciate that money is tight for everyone at the moment so it makes it all the more special when people do donate. Like I said earlier no matter how much you donate, even if it is 1 penny a goal it still all adds up and will change the lives of children for the better. So please accept my sincerest thanks for all your great support.

Thanks for your generosity, regards the publicity I am hoping to get a senior member of the staff at City to match our pledges before I go public. I have sent a few messages out but don't expect to hear until the squad get back from SA. Once they do that I will have a word with the MEN and the official site and see what happens. I may need some help at some point so I may take some people up on their offers.
