I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but whereas most signing sessions last an hour or so, the other night in the club shop, Stevie stayed for 3 HOURS so that he could talk to each and every fan individually, giving their experience the personal touch. The guy is a class act on and off the field. A true role model. Really proud to have him representing our club.

After meeting him myself and hearing stories like this I'd go as far as to say that Stephen Ireland is probably one of the kindest, decent, most down-to-earth players in football. I hope he stays with us for a very, very long time. Superman on the pitch and superman off the pitch.
