17. Bit behind 17 yo Bellend though.
Hard to say at that age and from a brief clip but he looks decent. Any idea how he’s been doing for the youth teams?
He is an absolute standout and already featuring for the U23 from the age of 16.Hard to say at that age and from a brief clip but he looks decent. Any idea how he’s been doing for the youth teams?
I'd personally like to keep him as a LCB in a back 2 or 3 (which could be. LB like Ake who stays back).Mfuni is a top player. I have said it here that I think he is ready to be the reserve LB in the first team.
I agree but I think that is sewn up by Gvardiol and Ake for the moment.I'd personally like to keep him as a LCB in a back 2 or 3 (which could be. LB like Ake who stays back).
LBs like Ait Nouri are a different style.
That's why Mfuni is perfectly suited to replace Ake in a few years.I agree but I think that is sewn up by Gvardiol and Ake for the moment.
I suspect we may need to blood him earlier than that or the vultures will be circling. As always, we're not far apart. That's why Mfuni is perfectly suited to replace Ake in a few years.
He can still play for the academy for another 2 years with cup appearances next year in the first time.
Then he comes in for Ake in the 3rd year, maybe even just sell Akanji who is taking up a non HG spot as well, since Ake is HG.
It’s bizarre when you consider how dominant we’ve been at u18 and EDS level in recent years. A bit of professional jealousy maybe?I watched him for the England under 19s drew 2 each with Norway, he was exceptional, he was our only player in the squad, England play again v Germany tomorrow at 1800hrs on the bbc iplayer for those interested.
It was really surprising to see only Mfuni make the squad from us but then I watched the game, England really do have some exceptional prospects.
All development will be eventually stagnated by Tuchel etcI watched him for the England under 19s drew 2 each with Norway, he was exceptional, he was our only player in the squad, England play again v Germany tomorrow at 1800hrs on the bbc iplayer for those interested.

Justin Aboovwoduo was added to the squad yesterdayIt’s bizarre when you consider how dominant we’ve been at u18 and EDS level in recent years. A bit of professional jealousy maybe?
And proof that people wanting a 17 year old defender in the first team are mental cases. Shipped 5 goals in an hourbaffling game but ace viewing
