Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Think Sterling would love to play for Madrid so his agent has put us out there to see if Madrid actually bite.

I guess if you can’t get your own way in a negotiation you have to play up and Madrid are one of few options available. Still confident he’ll sign a new deal with us.

All of us including me who have put in the cash and the travelling could only of dreamed of a player like him playing for us,his agent is doing his job,1 source says he is demanding to be top earner and he gets rounded on,way to go blue
I'm out
I haven't rounded on him, giving my opinion on it, so if people don't like it tough, I am entitled, if he goes i won't give 2 shits, if I picked up the paper tomorrow and Kev or Leroy or Merlin wanted out I would be worried

100 million minimum

this was my first thought the price tag, and what would make city think maybe its to good of a offer to turn down

ok not jumping all over sterling love the lad and is very much part of the squad, but hand on heart here he does miss so many easy chances and makes you pull your hair out at times, pep does get worked up on the touchline when sterling misses a sitter and you can see the frustration at times, but also pep is the first one up and clapping knowing the lad is learning and needs the a arm around his shoulders with good advise and the city fans love him and the chant top of the league must mean the world to sterling

so would £100 million be enough ??? maybe, but you can not put a price on the goals he scored last season and the fear he has on defenders with his pace and do we have another player that can play 3 roles in the front line, so maybe not even £100million is enough for city to listen and sell

Bet the paper would be The Sun.

If he wants to go swap him for Isco and play mahrez wide. Like has been said Raheem was great for us last season but if he possibly wants out and isn’t going to agree to city’s offer on a contract then he’s a goner imo, possibly even in January if he continues to demand over the odds. It seems pep wants the players to want to play rather than hunt the money.

Yep got it in one
Don’t worry about it mate, I agree with you, and I’m sure plenty of others do too. You just get pigeon holed as not liking the guy whereas in reality you’re just pointing out he also cost us points even though of course he scored some fantastic last minute winners too,

I like Sterling, however I’ve said it many times on here, he isn’t worth Kev money and if he’s not prepared to sign for a reasonable salary increase then sell him in Jan, simple as that.

We’ve not struggled to do any other player’s new contract in recent times, and that includes Jesus, Sergio, Merlin, Kev etc, so what makes Sterling think he’s so special?

Cheers blue, unfortunately some people on here don't like a person having an opinion, that is, unless it fits the blue moon agenda, my only point was I wouldn't loose any sleep if he were to leave

We can’t swap him for anyone until January, our window is closed.
He’ll sign new deal imo, loves it here and this is just about getting a little extra, fair play to him if he gets it.

I rate sterling. He’s quality and under appreciated. He’s also made for our team.

But, he will never quite be world class. I think he can only marginally improve from where he currently is. That’s just my opinion.

If we lost him he’d be a loss. But then the true cost of the loss needs to be evaluated by whom we replace him with.

Anyway hope he stays.

Agree with all of this, although I do still think he can hugely improve - I often forget he's still only 23. When he plays at his best, he could fit into any side in the world. Hope he signs a new contract.

If he wants to go good luck to him I'm not gong to go red dipper outrage on any City player.
Madrid will not be so kind on his misses as we are. Also he'd be a fool to leave Pep for the next three years.
Incidently his strike rate isn't that far behind Sergio or Salah - which kind of makes you think how good he could be if he scored what appear to be the straightforward chances that hexdoes miss.

If he goes we sould probavly buy Jadon Sancho back from Dortmund with the cash.

If Madrid come with 100 Million offer, then good luck to him.

Mahrez will take care of the right wing position until Diaz become ready.
