Was a total joke of a penalty, no contact at all, he doesn't get gifted that in a City shirt.
Sterling, Kane and Grealish do dive for fun playing for England and I hope we don't add Kane or Grealish to our squad.

Raheem has been very poor this season for City and I think he has focused too much on the off-field stuff than trying to do well for City.

Although not his fault and I don't blame him, his selection in Champions league final was the reason we lost, primarily because Pep felt he had to shoehorn him into the team.
Hope he improves his form for City but to think he is intentionally playing poor because of his contract situation must be long way off the mark. I'm not his biggest fan, he's a very frustrating player imho and his inability to finish one on one is criminal at times.

I don’t think it can be the racism thing. I don’t think that’ll really wash. Because if him, then why not other black players? Even within our own team? They probably get a bit of shit when they’re taking corners and suchlike, but nothing like Raheem.
It’s not rational, but I think it’s because he’s got a kind face! I think he’s got exactly the kind of face that bullies home in on in the schoolyard. He looks kind, so they think “fucking softie, let’s sort him out!”. I’m serious. I just can’t think of any other explanation. The dipper factor is long gone now (except with some dippers themselves, who are not quite mentally all there).

Totally agree. People can have whatever opinions they want but the Sterling thing is just weird. The casual England fans were mainly the ones who slagged him off in the past. He’s now a hero to them. For the first time in history we actually have A City player who is most people’s man of the tournament, and the talk of England, and potentially about to become as big a hero as Geoff Hirst, but we still have some City fans curling their lips and going “yebbut he’s not that good”.

Thats what they call cognitive dissonance. People have played their cards and can’t back down.

We have a history as fans of having fall guys, to the point the hatred becomes appalling, vicious and unnecessary.

Richard Edgehill, Dzeko , Kolarov to name just a few.

If a player is attracting abuse due to lack of respect of the shirt or lack of effort I get it, but abuse because they arn't flavor of the month is a disgrace.

FWIW I really like the player and always back him when people give him grief at Etihad but I do know why he frustrates fans, just look at that game via the rags where he missed at least 3 one on ones to finish the game.
He has all the talent in the world and if he could nail the one on one he would be genuine world class

You say it's not racism as if Raheem's not been the victim of two separate racist incidents, racial assault and racial harassment, in the last four years.

As I have posted elsewhere it was a perfect result for non City England fans. A win and an incident to slag off Raheem.
Secondly not all non-English Brits are against the team. That is a false and sweeping generalisation.

Most England fans are dicks, especially some of the ones now attending Wembley stadium at present, white , cockney muppets with swagger, attitude and huge chips on their shoulders, the ones that go around berating 'foreigners",

One reason I am utterly indifferent to supporting the national team. City results are life and death for me, England mehhhhh.
