Sterling possibly fit for Chelsea.

Lots of football fans will tell us how Douglas Costal was a much better buy than Sterling, but nobody was saying that before this season, Pep saw something in Costa that nobody else did. His first words to Costa were something like are you ready to learn how to play football., so Pep saw an ability that needed bringing out.
I'm convinced Pep was behind the purchases of Sterling and Debruyne , so hoping he saw the same potential to teach Sterling that he saw in Costa, at 21 he's young enough to develop into a great player over the coming seasons.

Great option to have back in the squad but as it stands, I personally prefer Navas in the team at this moment in time, I think Pep will be the one to get the best out of Sterling, Pelligrini seems to have coached a lot of why we bought Sterling out of him this season.

I feel that this boy is going to do something special in what remains of the season especially in the champions league.

If Sterling gets fully fit , we should be setting the team like this in the semifinals:

--------------------------------------------Hart----------------------------------------------

Sagna---------------Kompany------------------Mangala/Otamendi----------------Clichy

-----------------------Fernandinho-----------------Fernando-------------------------------

Navas--------------------------------------KDB---------------------------------------Sterling

-------------------------------------------Aguero------------------------------------------------

Perfect cover for both of our fullbacks as sterling and Navas track back. Incredible pace on the wings to stretch defences for KDB and aguero which will be perfect for counter attack.
I'd fancy us to reach the finals with that formation. Built to keep it tight, set up for the counter. Grafters all over the place except KDB who ofcourse more than compensates for his defensive shortcomings.

Makes us predictable according to Nasri who said they (Jesus and Raheem) both need the space in behind to run into

A combination of that and Silva playing restricted is what he said made us predictable

Dont you wish we had stuck our necks out and included Nasri in the CL squad as well.

I know what you're saying and my gut reaction is yes. We've definitely missed him and his incredible ability to not lose possession in tight spaces.

But that said, had we not dropped him and brought Iheanacho in then in that parallel universe, perhaps Kun would have got injured and we'd have had no strikers available at all. (Bony was already injured when we dropped Nasri from the CL squad). So although in hindsight yes it would be great if we now had Nasri available, I do think it was the right thing to do to bring Iheanacho in at Nasri's expense.

Sterling is more intelligent than nost, thats the difference between him and other wingers of his age. His ball retention is brilliant and his passing and crossing are severely underrated. Sterling has something like a 33:1 ratio for goals scored compared to navas. Thats insane.
Not saying that he's not smart, not saying he can't score goals or improve. But KDB is a "director", always has been. He can steer a team, dictate an attack. I don't see that in Sterling (then again, i don't see that in many "top players" either).
