Sterling withdraws from England squad

Thats a relief,he really doesn't need the aggravation of playing for them again

City seem to be much firmer on players travelling to play for their international sides since Pep took over, Sergio and now Raheem have been withdrawn with minor injuries. Last year Sergio went with Argentina with a slight hamstring injury and played with it and tore it and was out for over a month, hopefully City doing what the rags did for years under Taggert and making players withdraw if the club consider any slight injury concerns, Ryan Giigs hardly ever played for Wales in friendlies.

Where did you hear sergio has been withdrawn?

Hopefully just a club endorsed break, Worry because it seems every minor injury has lasted a little longer than it should this season!

Maybe if the England hierarchy had been more supportive in the Euros Raheem might have been prepared to put himself out a bit more. As it was they let him take the flak and let others make him the scapegoat. Let them grovel a bit to get him back for internationals.

Maybe if the FA referees won't protect our players from injury then they will not be fit for internationals. Think about that one you rag cunts.

Lambasted in the press and by his own "supporters" during the summer.

No point risking himself for people that hate him for no good reason.

Have a rest lad, big game against Everton coming up.

What the....

The media have been praising him greatly. I just checked his stats for the season, he's done really well....

...hasn't he?

He's had some plaudits, this season to be fair.

He's been little sort of amazing this season for us. KDB been our best player. Then Sterling and Aguero. I don't really want him to get loads of praise. Might go to his head. As long as the stick stops because that hit his confidence last season.

Part of the reason I think he has done so well is motivation to prove critics wrong

Sorry not very clear was referring to the last international break when Sergio was withdrawn with a slight calf strain but was fit to play in the next league game.

Pep "Are you injured Raz?"
Raz "Okay boss"
Pep "Sorry, my english. You are injured Raz!"
Pop "Okay boss"
