Sterling

Whether Liverpool can keep him will be determined by their league position if they can consistently hit top four they will have no problem, finish out of top four regularly and we may here the quote that Liverpools expectations don't meet with the requirements of the player, once that happens he might be open for a move but not before.

Best player on the pitch last night.

Gave us no end of trouble in both dippers games last season.

If he has another couple of WC games like last night the likes of Madrid will be all over him.

Already a very good player and could become an incredible player.

When they played us around Xmas his pace was terrifying, but there was little end product, but that's changed over the course of the season.

No chance of us signing him but I think he was probably the most improved player in the league last season by the end of it.

the lad is quality , the pass he made through to Rooney for the goal that split the Italian defence apart and put Rooney clear was when i realised he is more than just pace , the lads also got great vision , combine that with great technical ability , he is potentially world class , however being English he will burst onto the scene only to have the nations football hopes pinned onto his shoulders and subsequently suffer countless niggling injuries and ultimately fail to live up to his potential

The Dippers have a Sterling clone, that they poached from Wycombe, called Jordan Ibe.

I predict he will make a similar,if not greater, impact this coming season.

Typical English! Getting hard for a 19 yr old with a bit of pace!

Come back in FIVE YEARS and tell me how he lit up the tournament at the 2018 World Cup first! He looks nothing special against ANY of the other young talent on display, so it is pretty sad guys are jizzing over wanting him.

City have players with pace, but they have to fit into a system that works, have the technical ability to REGULARLY create an end product, and THEN they can become quality players on the world stage. Sterling is far from the finished article and FAR down the list of players I would pick from what I have seen in Brazil so far.

This aged like Ruben Amorim’s opening press conference.

Available on loan?

Didn't see this had been bumped but just had the same idea. Beyond Semenyo, I wouldn't mind us bringing in another attacker.

Sterling on loan for 5-6months can't hurt purely from a numbers perspective.

Then buy a couple more wingers in the summer when Savinho and Bobb go.

When you need to rest Doku, Haaland, Semenyo, it gives us another body to put on.
