30m? Lol fuck off. No way

Chip in an extra 10 and go for Suarez, who's vastly superior.

Pointless in trying to sign Suarez as there is one destination he will want to go and it isn't to another English club lol.
Yeah I have no idea why people keep saying Suarez he has stated he WANTS TO LEAVE ENGLAND let it go hahahaha

maybe: aguero, dzeko, jovetic, and guidetti?
would that work? and maybe negredo is the fallback option in case we cant get a deal done with fiorentina?

This window is getting very confusing.

Aguero
Dzeko
Guidetti
Jovetic
Negredo
Osvaldo

We have to remove two from that list. Apparently, Guidetti has been expressly told he'll have a chance next season too. It's easy to say Dzeko could be sold but to who? Big fee, big wages - Dortmund's spending is over in their own words, Atletico have signed Villa, Serie A clubs either too poor or not in need of him.

Apparently our bid for Johnny Depp got turned down, so I guess that explains the revived Jovetic interest

The S*n showing how they work, adding £40,000 on top of what Di Marzio says our wage offer would be.

MANCHESTER CITY are cranking up their interest in Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic.

The Montenegro star, 23, has a £27million buy-out clause that is proving an attractive option among Premier League clubs in the race to sign him.

SunSport understand Liverpool are also keen along with Chelsea and Arsenal.

But it is City who are moving into pole position having sold Carlos Tevez to Juventus. plus they can cope with his basic wage demands of £120,000 a week.

Jovetic has made it clear he wants to leave Florence.

A source close to the player said: “Of the top players in Europe, Stevan is the best value striker on the market right now.”

Really hope not. This guy would be out of his depth in the Premiership and sold at a big loss within two years. He's another Savic in waiting. Negredo I can see the logic. This guy will end up sat next to Maicon and Sinclair.

This lad will be on no more than 50k a week the media no fuck all and take the piss surprise they didnt print 200k a week demand

And your reasoning for this is?

Seen him a few times and whilst ok against poor opposition when the level goes up he looks lost. Unless we see huge potential, which I can't, the Premiership will be a step too far for him. He's easily shut down and ends up wandering around. He's not a goalscorer either which is a problem if you are a striker.

He lacks the conviction that Osvaldo and Negredo offer. I'd prefer to let Sinclair fight for a place to be honest.

All the top clubs have shown interest in Jovetic - Juve, who have a good eye for talent these days, even offered a lot of money by their standards + two players. So I think scouts and managers see plenty in him even if some fans don't. He tore apart Liverpool in the Champions League a few years ago then they tried to sign him but didn't have enough money. My only concern is his lack of goals but that could change with age and in the meantime he can play anywhere across the front line if needed. Would certainly add more variety than having Dzeko/Negredo/Osvaldo as options 2, 3 and 4.

pellegrini moulds the team and us as fans have to respect there choices of players we buy.sometimes the smallest thing can make the biggest difference. We cant second guess how players will fit in or indeed how they will perform.fingers crossed we will sign the right players and regain our title once again.

I really do not understand why people don't like Jovetic. Im sure people just look at his strike rate and automatically think he is a shit player, but let me tell you... people will be made to look like fools.

He has everything in his game. He is relatively fast, has good acceleration, fantastic close control, very intelligent on the ball and in his movement, very good awareness, good with both feet, can shoot and can glide past players in the same fashion Isco can. He is a must signing for me and a player who can occupy that wide left/inside forward spot.

This is how we will look...

----------------------------Hart--------------------------------------

---Zabaleta-----------Kompany------------Nastasic-------Clichy-------

-----------------Yaya Toure----------Fernandinho---------------------

-----Navas------------------Silva--------------------Jovetic----------

---------------------------Aguero-------------------------------------

Or...

----------------------------Hart---------------------------------------

---Zabaleta-----------Kompany------------Nastasic-------Clichy--------

-------------------------Fernandinho-----------------------------------

--------------------------Yaya Toure-----------------------------------

--------Silva-----------------------------------------Jovetic------------

-------------------Aguero----------------Negredo-----------------------

Looks class either way. Thats considering we get Negredo and Jovetic and with Jovetic, we could rest Aguero and go with Navas and Silva alongside him with Dzeko and Negredo up top.

So are you suggesting that Jovetic is the Isco replacement that we said we didn't need?

He did his cruciate a while ago too if I remember rightly?

Certainly stats aren't everything but 35 goals in 120 games is poor and I can't see anything else that he offers. He does have confidence in his own ability I can see that but replacing Isco with Jovetic would be like trading in a Ferrari for a Mondeo.

I hope we don't get him and I think Fiorentina have already replaced him with Gomez who can play well against good opposition.

Of course if we do sign him I will be delighted to be proved wrong but he reminds me of last transfer window when we didn't get our main targets so settled for average.

Exciting player, definitely more potential to grow with the team then Osvaldo, who would probably be shipped out in a year or two.

He use to be the next big thing before he did his knee. Hopefully it's behind him.
