Jovetic has had some time out injured and i'm certain if he had played these games he would be pushing 20 goals so far this season, he's class!

just scored against lazio, 12th of the season in Serie A

hardly setting it on fire then??
No but similar goals-to-game ratio to all our strikers. Not got a Falcao or Cavani scoring record but then again, he isn't at his peak either.
I'd love him here if we continue to play with two strikers. Aguero and Jovetic would be fantastic next season but in two years time, providing they were both here, it would be a phenomenal partnership.

I like Jovetic too but fear that were he our marquee striker signing we would face the same problems as this year in the immediate future - not scoring enough. Aguero and Jovetic are both super talented but neither are true goal machines. Jovetic's 12 goals have come in 9 appearances out of 23 this season so he scores in less than half of Fiorentina's games. There were signs he was becoming a more consistent goal scorer but he seems to go games without scoring again.

The only way I think we might get around a lack of goals from one player is by adding goals from other departments. ie. sign Marco Reus for the left side, he'd chip in with 15 or so goals. Or just sign Ronaldo and never worry about goals again. :)

zabba-kompany-nasty-clichy
yaya-fernandinho
silva-jovetic-reus
aguero

to good a team to not win the league and have a long road in CL

that's not a terrible return when you consider that he doesn't play in an amazing team and it's hard to get goals in Serie A, highest scorer is Cavani with 18, and he plays in a much better team but even he is struggling. Jovetic would not cost as much as a Falcao or Cavani and he is more flexible than them, can play second fiddle or even as a wide player. Made 22 apps in Serie A this season so that is actually a goal every other game. And he is pretty young too, so will probably get better.

I think Aguero is just having a bad season in front of goal. Providing he can avoid injuries and too many personal problems, I'm sure he'll score at least 25 next season. While he's not the most clinical finisher, because of his movement he is afforded more opportunities than most other strikers.
I see where you're coming from re where are the goals going to come from and I like the idea of sharing the numbers. We've been linked with likes of Lamela too who is a good goal-scoring wide man.

I'm not sure who we're going to bring in but was frightened last summer at prospect of how good a van Persie-Aguero partnership could have been and would love to see similar in Jovetic-Aguero.

If a partnership clicks then I think the goals just flow.

Jovetic isn't an out and out scorer hence why he doesn't score loads of goals.

He is what I hoped Nasri would be for us, see his record at Arsenal in the season we bought him!
He will score and create goals as well as giving some direct pace to our forward line which we sometimes lack.

I see this deal happening if it hasn't already been done.

why not??? ok i know that dortmund is not in rush to sell but maybe a offer of dzeko+money for reus will tempt they to make a deal...

Smart money says he sits at Fiorentina next year... and possibly longer.
From what Ive heard from Viola friends is that he's absolutely in love w the city and the team and was promised a fantastic project built around him. Look like that's the truth... and ocne Giuseppe Rossi gets healthy, theyll be even better.

Fiorentina has money. They spend. And they'll keep him happy.

Will he stay there forever? Hard to say that about anyone these days... But sounds like he's set to stay while longer
