Arsenal fans in meltdown on Twitter because Tuttosport had reported they were in advanced talks to sign him, now a well known journo says we're the only club to have made our interest concrete in him. According to Tuttosport, Arsenal made a £19.5million bid for him. BTW he has a £25.4million buy-out clause that his agent recently said he refuses to increase. Considering some of the fees flying around this wouldn't represent bad value considering his talent.

Luca Toni has advised Stevan Jovetic to ignore Arsenal’s calls, for “they are not better than Fiorentina. If he has to leave, make it for a real top club.”

The World Cup winning striker is well-travelled, securing titles with Bayern Munich, and nearing the end of his career.

Viola teammate Jovetic admitted today he is tempted by proposals from the Gunners, but Toni warns it would not be a step up.

“I tell him to think carefully before leaving Florence, as there is an important project here,” Toni told ANSA news agency.

“If he has to leave, then make it for a real top club. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United fit that bill, but Arsenal are not better than Fiorentina.

“We’ll talk about my own contract renewal over the next few weeks. There are no problems for me or the club and I think we’ll resolve the issue within a month.”

I'm looking forward to seeing this lad play against us and see how good he is and if he can hack it against an English style defense.

be interesting to see if bobby is there looking at him
As well as the young centre half he failed to get the best out of.

Yes, just like he's failed to get the best out of Kompany, Lescott and Nastasic ! Why must every thread be turned into an anti Mancini thread?

Agree with this, there is already at least 2 threads on the main forum about Mancini with arguments flying around. Let's keep this section about possible players we'd like to see at City shall we?!

Just popped up at 16:55 on mercato365,...Pierre-emerick aubameyang's father has confirmed there has been Contact with fiorentina.."we spoke with the club, which requested an appointment.i have to see when I can go to italy, there is interest and it is concrete, fiorentina want my son.we will make an appointment.

Obvious replacement, hopefully we are further on with this and he is city bound.
