Surely he dug his own grave last week when he claimed Blackburn had a squad good enough to be in the top half of the Prem. Well, if that is true, it can only be the manager's fault that they are actually in the bottom two.

Not read the link, but wasn't there something in the press last week, saying that if they offered him a new contract, it would make it easier to get rid of him?

Sounds a bit daft, but if they offered him a rise, but with success clauses put in, it may well be right.

I read that the contract doesn't expire at a different date. It's just been changed. No pay off if he's sacked after a relegation?

With Guardiola (maybe?) jacking it in sometime in the near future, this will be a blow to Barca in their search for a successor.

You're insane if you really think Barca would go anywhere near Steve ****ing Kean as a replacement.

Following recent media speculation Blackburn Rovers FC can confirm a revision to manager Steve Kean's existing contract has been completed. An agreement made in the summer has now been formalised.

Contrary to some reports there is no change to the length of the contract. The club respects that all contracts are private and confidential and no further comment will be made.
