Steve McClaren: Resigns as manager of Jamaica (P6)

Where is Jamacia?
Is it next door to Narnia?
Is there a Faun league ruled by an evil white witch?
Does Steve need to go through the wardrobe to get there?

I have no idea what that is meant to be.
A faun. A mythological creature (Greek I think) that was widely used in C S Lewis, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. A Children’s book set in the land of Narnia, which is clearly located next door to Jamacia. (A country that STeve Mc now manages)
Hope that clears things up for everyone.

I am well aware that McLaren is the new manager of Jamaica, because, in case you’ve missed it, I’ve been posting in this thread.

Also, I know what The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is, but I’ve never read it.

Look at the spelling in the title mate.

Jamacia (P5)

Narnia

Knowing how Steve McClaren loves to immerse himself in the culture and language of the countries that he works in, I offer him a vocabulary list I compiled some years ago, inspired by hearing Althea and Donna's wonderful 'Uptown Top Ranking', with its glorious use of Jamaican patois ('See me in me heels an' ting..' etc), including:

'Panting' - a Jamaican cooking utensil
'Looting' - a Jamaican lavatory
'Shooting' - Jamaican footwear
'Sorting' - used by a Jamaican carpenter
'Writing' - Jamaican speciality bread
'Hating' - what cows eat in Jamaica
'Busting' - Jamaican public transport
'Lifting' - a Jamaican elevator
'Biting' - going to the shops in Jamaica
and so on and so on..

Could come in useful for Schteve?!

Excellent!

And I agree about. "Up Town Top Ranking". It was a great song. I heard it on Boom Radio just the other day.
