Ah ok, my uncle was in charge of building the metrolink and used to get tickets from him, thanks heff.Thay was Tudor Thomas. I had been in that room. I’ve just seen an old Tweet from Franny Lee and Tudor was 90 in 2018

From memory he had something to do with building Huddersfield’s ground. I think he may have owned the company which built it. Could be wrong as it was a long time ago....

I doubt he owned McAlpines.
On another note Ian Niven is well into his nineties now. A real City man.
Lives in a penthouse in Didsbury and still chatting City with people in The Friendship most afternoons with his Ham barm.
People might remember him by his dodgy syrup.

We alternate between Nothwich (Nothwich Rugby Club) & Winsford (George & Dragon) with the meetings always being the last Thursday of the month.The February meeting will be at Northwich with our Guest Speaker,Paul Stewart.Where is your branch located oakie? Might pay a visit to the next meeting if its not too far from me.
