STEVEN GERRARD OR TORRES

Both ? Seriously though I cant see any circumstances under which Liverpool could sell these players this season especially to another club in the Premier league. The scousers would burn the ground down with the owners and board still in it.

True but Liverpool's owners are skint and the club has debts so they would sell them to Everton if they offered cold hard cash! :)

The only thing that bothers me about this is that IF we did buy them for say £100m then we would be handing over a massive wedge of cash to the bin dippers to allow them to rebuild. They need to totally re-vamp their current squad and that would give them a big boost to do it...

Apart from us the only other team in the prem who can afford either of them is probably Chelski and I don't think they want / need them, Arsenal have the cash from selling Ade and Toure to us but Wenger would rather be bum loved by Fergie than pay that amount for 1 player so it's either us or Spain for the pair of them....
 
would defo take torres but cant believe i`m gonna say no to gerrard!!!! we dont necessarily need torres either but if hes available then we HAVE to be in the mix to get him.we couldnt fitr gerrard in our midfield anywhere and superman can do the same job and over the years hopefully better.

i think that the dippers are in such dire straits that they would need a lot more than a hundred mill to sort out their team, especially if it had no torres and gerrard, whereas torres would easily fire us into the top 4
 
Torres if the price is reasonable, 40-50m. Otherwise go for Aguero or Villa etc. Wouldnt take Gerrard though, not the same player he was a few years back.
 
I dont get understand why so many would be against Gerrard coming to City.
In my opinion hes the best midfielder in the league at the moment. Yes Superman will be just as good in the future(hopefully) but a leader like gerrard in the squad for a few seasons definitely couldnt hurt.
Hes a leader, controls the midfield and playmaker big yes for Gerrard from me.

He is a superb talent but he is scouce through and through and personally i dont think he would be as interested as he is at liverpool, also Torres is much younger and to be honest a much better player and he deserves to be at a better club, imagine if Barca swapped Henry for torres
 
Torres.

Gerrard is a scouser to his very marrow and will not have the same passion elsewhere.

However, I am mindful of the example of Lampard. Never thought he would leave his Dad's club, but he was much younger.
 
Just get both, they work really well as a pair at liverpool.
Not like we cant afford it anyway :)
 
we need to buy torres now rafa said they would have to consider offers for both him and gerrard weve got the money we should go all out he's the best striker in the wourld and only 25.
