Stewards took my plastic flag pole

Best thing to do is smuggle bottles in, on the last 2 semi finals at Wembley I managed to get a couple of cans of beer, a bottle of water in and a hipflask full of rum in, wear a jacket with a hood, stick a couple of cans in it, and then just keep them busy showing them your bag. ( hipflask down the pants)
As for bottles of water and other soft drinks, tell them you're diabetic, and that "unless you want me dropping into a coma on your watch, you'd better let me take it in!" then ask them their name and write it down....

More examples of why Football in this country has hit rock bottom. Or has it yet?

This H&S bullshit dreamt up by the Government and PL has destroyed football. The club/s have no choice but to implement it.

Yet stage a concert at the Etihad and People get in with alcohol, are pissed and drugged up, stand and dance on the upper tiers, and behave how they like.

And yet the Government, H&S, city council, the club, and Stewards do nothing about it.

As per, one rule for football fans and another for...........

Entrance P south stand lower. young north eastern girl initially asked me to step aside before a larger black gentleman got involved and then the mixed race supervisor bloke basically said no.

Racist bastards

Is that because they wouldn't let the........Pole in??

Brilliant

So what's the difference between bringing in a bottle of localshop energy drink and purchasing a bottle of Oasis from the snack bar inside? You could throw either of them onto the pitch but the Oasis or coke or 7 up bottle tops come off and could also be thrown. The energy drink tops are harder to remove. The difference..... well that's £2 and money going to the club rather than a local independent business that probably relies on matchday sales.

Exactly. Also anyone throwing anything inside an all seater ground with CCTV everywhere would have to be extremely pissed or supid...well i wasn't pissed, lol! I mean i am in my fifties and have paid £585 for a season ticket and have just paid an extra £48 to see the match.Sure i am going to risk missing all that after years of watching dross play in sky blue shirts for years aren't i?

An excellent analogy between football fans and concert fans in the same stadium.I am a paying customer and should be treated as such, not as a potential troublemaker because i want to take a bottle of drink into a game.It spoilt my fucking matchday experiance they keep harping on about and i would rather die of thirst than pay the inflated prices inside and i don't want to drink coke anyway.

All these little niggly rules and regulations and being bossed about and moved about like a fucking sheep by a collie when trying to catch a bus or tram makes me feel like saying fuck it and watching it online or down the pub!

I reckon I could have done some serious damage with the pie they served me last time I was there.

That is a good philosophy which does work most of the time.On the whole it is a more pleasant experiance going to a match these days but the jobsworths, many who are ill informed or not trained well enough to deal with crowds, are starting to ruin aspects of it.Yesterday waiting for a tram to get to the game at Picadilly station was one example and getting the bus back after every game is always frustrating.
